With the large amount of rainfall
throughout the summer months our fall
season is starting off rather green, but
the excitement of what lies ahead still
makes our hearts beat fast!!  The
beautiful autumn season and colors
await us as always!!
Here is a  recap of what has taken place
with our Club over the summer. Our last
news release was in the spring.
Yours truly missed a couple meetings
through the summer, but will give it my
best shot.
Best information has it that Terry
Dunlap has been busy with Concealed-
Carry Classes for new applicants as well
as refresher courses for those with
existing permits. For information on the
latest classes contact Terry at 614-837-
5444 or check our web page

The gun range has seen activity also.
Bob Childers reports the range is open
for muzzle loader shooting and twenty-
two shoots. Possibly some trap shooting
will take place also.
On the archery front, Mike Herrell’s first
time spring archery league achieved
much success!  Mike reports sixteen
shooters took part with much fun and
friendly competition. It was stressed at
the beginning this was to be a fun
activity for all!  Mike, from reports
received, your goal was accomplished!!
The results and final standings will be
posted on our Club’s web page.
A fall archery league is now underway
with some minor changes. These
changes are on the web page also. For
more info contact Mike @614-492-9247
or mikeandnadine@att.net
(club web site is listed at top of
newsletter)
Dale Rickets, Archery Shooting
Chairman, reported that mis-
communication and ensuing
disagreements has resulted in our
COCH
Bow Shooting Team with-drawing from
the District One Archery League.
Dale stated that he is open to ideas
and suggestions concerning this
situation.
Moving on, another of our Club’s big
events is about to unfold!!
Turkey Shoot Chairman, Charlie
Benson has announced this year’s
shooting dates and activities. As in the
past, Charley is working hard and
asking for everyone’s support. Last
year our Club really turned out to work
and shoot!  This was really evident by
the great results!!!  This is a super
opportunity for members to pickup
those needed points toward their
annual dues!  The club advanced the
money to get this project off the
ground at our September meeting.
Shoots will be every Sunday in
October and the first three Sundays in
November. The shooting starts at 12
‘noon.  There will be food and much
fun!!!  SEE YOU THERE!!!
Jon Noice and Quentin Hargus will be
working together on improving the
condition of our Club’s lake. Jon will be
gathering quotes from local excavators
and pond restoration experts on
dredging the edges and removing
brush and scrub trees from banks.
The lake’s spill-way is overgrown badly
also. Depending on projected costs
and time frames a three step
approach will be requested on quotes.
Our lake has good fish count and
variety, but accessibility is not good.
Gathered info will be presented to the
Club Officers and Board of Directors
for further guidance and direction.
A BSA counselor was present at the
September meeting requesting
involvement from our Club. Also the
Club received thanks for allowing the
Boy Scouts past use of our facility
It was noted that our club added thirty-
two new members in July and August.
Good  luck to our Club’s bow shooter's
during deer season! Climb safely!!
